Viksit Bharat Club – Ashtavakra Institute of Rehabilitation Sciences and Research

BACKGROUND

“Viksit Bharat,” meaning “Developed India” in Hindi, is a vision for transforming India into a developed nation. This concept encompasses a range of goals aimed at improving the country’s economic, social, and technological status.

PURPOSE

Economic Growth: Promoting sustainable economic growth through industrialization, innovation, and infrastructure development. This includes boosting sectors like manufacturing, services, and agriculture.
Infrastructure: Developing world-class infrastructure, including roads, railways, airports, and ports, to facilitate efficient transportation and logistics.
Education and Skill Development: Enhancing the education system to produce a skilled workforce capable of meeting the demands of a modern economy. This involves improving primary, secondary, and higher education as well as vocational training.
Healthcare: Providing accessible and quality healthcare to all citizens. This includes building hospitals, improving medical facilities, and ensuring availability of essential medicines and treatments.
Technology and Innovation: Encouraging technological advancement and innovation through research and development, supporting startups, and leveraging digital technologies to improve various sectors.
Sustainable Development: Focusing on sustainable practices to protect the environment, ensure energy efficiency, and manage natural resources responsibly.
Social Welfare: Addressing social inequalities and improving the quality of life for all citizens. This includes poverty alleviation, social security programs, and measures to promote gender equality and social justice.
Governance and Policy: Implementing effective governance and policies to ensure transparency, accountability, and efficiency in government operations. This also involves reforms to improve ease of doing business and attract investments.
Global Integration: Strengthening India’s position on the global stage by enhancing diplomatic relations, participating in international trade, and contributing to global challenges.

To promote national values, civic responsibility, and ethical leadership among students.
To encourage youth participation in nation-building activities aligned with the vision of a developed India.
To create awareness about social inclusion, environmental sustainability, and community service.
To develop 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, innovation, and problem-solving.
To organize educational, cultural, social, and skill-based programs that foster patriotism and social harmony.

OBJECTIVES

To inculcate a strong sense of national pride, unity, and constitutional values among students.
To provide a platform for students to actively participate in nation-building initiatives aligned with the vision of Viksit Bharat.
To promote social inclusion and equity, with special emphasis on marginalized and disadvantaged groups.
To create awareness about sustainable development, environmental protection, and responsible citizenship.
To encourage community engagement and outreach activities for societal development.
To enhance leadership qualities, teamwork, and communication skills among students.
To develop problem-solving, innovation, and entrepreneurial skills relevant to a developing economy.

OUTCOMES

After active participation in the activities of the Viksit Bharat Club, students will be able to:
