INTRODUCTION:

Photography is much more than just having a camera and taking pictures. It is both an art and science. It is not just clicking the photographs. It reflects the vision of a person towards a subject. It is a gift to shoot what our eyes wishes to capture. Students in this photography club have opportunities to hone their skills by understanding and learning about what makes a good photograph, from composition to artistic expression. Members of this club will learn how to use state of the art software to edit and enhance photographic images for their own use, as well as for publication. All levels of experience are welcome and encouraged to explore this exciting side of the visual arts. Photography Club stands as a vibrant and dynamic platform dedicated to nurturing creativity, inclusiveness, and sustainability. Rooted in the values of ethics, the club has consistently strived to foster an environment where students can explore and enhance their passion for photography while aligning their work with broader social and global responsibilities.

The club also provides a platform for college contests, participation in external competitions, Internal and external Visit and collaborations with organizations. The Photography Club’s harmonious integration of events, objectives, sustainable development goals, and the guiding principles of club reflects its unwavering commitment to empowering society through photography. It continues to inspire students to contribute meaningfully to the world around them, proving that photography is not just an art but also a powerful tool for education, advocacy, and transformation.

Mission:

To foster interest in photography among students and provide a place for students interested in photography to meet, exchange ideas and share experiences. Hence, the aim and mission of this club is to develop professionally advanced students in photography. And to make students aware of past programs/activities through photos

Vision:

To foster love for the art of photography among the students of AIRSR.
To promote the club and its members through display of photography on digital media and social sites.
To achieve more fruitful alliances between beginners and experienced photographers.
To provide a supportive environment for interested photography students to share their creativity, knowledge and passion for photography.

OBJECTIVES

To organize various workshops for photography.
To provide opportunities for sharing club experience and skills.
To cover various events within the institution and participate in external competitions.
To organize frequent, inter/intra college photography competitions.
To conduct photo walks during educational field trips of photographic interest and social events.
To promote the club and its members through display of photography on digital media and social sites.

OUTCOMES:

Through participation in various competitions and events, a confidence would develop among to do coverage of any event and do compete any kind of international event.
Workshops and expert lectures would help them to learn the minute delicacies of photo capturing.
Repository of pictures would be helpful for research and analysis purpose in future.
Photo walks would be helpful to them to imagine beyond reality and capture the photos with new ideas and imagination.
Students would be able to highlight their work on global platforms.

THE FOLLOWING RULES AND REGULATIONS:

Any student who is interested in photography can join the club.
Any student who wants to preserve his/her memories by creating them through photos and videos can join the club.
Must be a student of Ashtavakra institute of Rehabilitation Sciences and Research
